Today we had an afternoon of fun with Vicki and Mia.

There was tea, there were choccie biccies and there were bubbles.  What more does one need?  Bliss.

And this is why she's paid the big bucks...

Mamie and Papy come for a visit

Lovely weekend with Mamie and Papy last weekend.
These are Chantal's photos, as I didn't take any.  Hazel and I were both feeling a little unwell, and that's my excuse - a poor one though.  There were some fun moments I wished I had snapped.

Hazel had a lovely time seeing them both.  She had some great games with her Papy and the balloon from the shoe shop.  And the way to her heart is cakes, and Mamie obliged, and was duly rewarded with kisses and cuddles!

New Bestie

Mia has got competition for her role as Hazel's BFF in the form of 10 year old Axel, who came to our house for lunch (with his Mum and Dad, but to Hazel they were merely incidental).

The girl who needs no help eating any more, (thank you very much!!! or at least I think that's what she means when she snatches the spoon out of my hand and says noooooo!), gladly accepted the help of the charming Axel.  They played together the whole afternoon.  Axel was quite disappointed to see her go to bed, and wanted to know how long she would sleep, before she would be up for round two!

Started to "clean up" the balcony a bit today.  Hazel "helped", and by that I mean that she splished splashed sploshed in the rain, trapped the dirt and and out and in and out and back in, now , out again..., and ensured that I really do need to clean the windows.

Awesome afternnon activity, eh?!

Princess Cake!

It's that time of year again - the Galette des Rois - but this year she gets to eat some, AND enjoy wearing the two crowns!!  

On the other hand, I had to go through her piece with a knife to make sure she really didn't have the token.  So SHHHHH, she really is the Queen, just without finding /biting into/ chocking on the plastic thingee.

To celebrate her decision to be 100 percent weaned, Hazel has decided that this year, she will be feeding herself, by herself, with NOOOOOOOOOH! help.  Not even loading up the spoon thank you very much.... This has been the case for several days now.  And yesterday the peeps at the creche were very excited to tell me that she ate with the big kids without any assistance (aside the clean up!).

So do you reckon I gave her finger food for lunch today?

Nahhh.  Bring on the spinach!!!
