Another trip to the chateau

Today we went back to the chateau de Virieu, where they were holding a craft market.  There was some really lovely things - woodwork, glass-blowing, jewellery, pottery and leather bags.  All very nice!
Hazel wasn't so impressed with the wares - but the band - that was a different story!

I do it MYSELF!

During yesterday's lunch Hazel started generally carrying on in the manner of a pork chop.

At first I thought that it was because I was too slow from mouth to yoghurt pot back to mouth.

But no, Hazel now wants to do it herself!

Next step is getting a bowl to stick to the tray so that she can do the whole thing, but for now, she's dealing with the loaded spoon only.

Hazel and her Daddy on Father's Day

Should have taken my camera to Bruno and Sylviane's house for Father's Day snaps.  We were only there for an hour or so, but there were loads of photo ops, including Hazel and Daddy in the pool, Hazel playing with the other children, and Hazel falling asleep on the swing...  Apparently the rocking motion of the swing is not so much adrenaline packed fun, as Joy-of-Painting relaxing!

But anyway, here are a couple we took at home!

For her Daddy, Hazel made some artwork.  Both on paper, and using her body as a canvas.

Feeding time at the zoo just got a whole lot messier

Over the last few days, Hazel has decided that she doesn't like being spoon-fed.

In fact, she says pfffffffffffff to that:

So I quit trying to spoon-feed her, and just put her tomato basil pasta on her tray.

Will be cooking up some "cleaner" finger foods tomorrow!

Hazel Grand Vitesse!

Hazel's first TGV rides to see her Mamie and Papy this weekend.

And as the train was moving at "grand vitesse", so too did she.  She was very well behaved, but a very wriggly worm!

She was very pleased to see her grandparents.

Chateau de Virieu

Fun afternoon trip to the Chateau de Virieu this afternoon with Lynda and Hazel.

The chateau itself is not open until July, but we enjoyed walking around the grounds.

Playing at the Toy Library

Once every fortnight or so, Hazel and I go to the Toy Library.

She likes seeing the older kids smashing and crashing and banging.

And quite often she does some smash, crash, bang of her own!

Nothing for it but chilling out topless in her best friend's garden, and sucking back the evian.
