What Hazel did on her holidays...
Hazel also had a fabulous time on holidays, in particular hanging with her Mamie.
She read some books.
Did some painting.
Chilled out on the porch.
Played peek-a-boo in the tent.
And went for a dip.
Where we stayed
This is the chalet in which we stayed. It is near La Ferriere, in the Alps.
This is the view. Not to shabby, eh?
And the road into the town.

Fountain spotting in Allevard
Hazel loves water! On walks with her Mamie over the holidays, they regularly stopped at waterfalls, creeks, fountains and taps so that Hazel could point to the running water.
Hazel was therefore a big fan of Allevard - town of many a fountain and creek!
Here she is pointing out a few of them!
This one in front of the church was a particular favourite.
And another...
The Allevard mairie - with fountain!
And the view back to the town from the Collet d'Allevard, on the day we went up the mountain for the Fête de la Montagne - and where Hazel got her groove on to some rocking accordian folk!
And here are the lovely flowers they had on the tables at the Fête.
Hazel ate her first crêpe at this same table.

Summer Markets
Whilst on holidays, we went to two markets near to our chalet. On Saturday we went to the Summer Market in Pinsot, which was held in the shade of a big barn, next to the stream. We bought some lovely bread, fruit and vegetables, and a locally made liqueur.
Hazel didn't miss out either. Here she is chuffed to learn that we're going back to the wood toys stall!
And then at home, playing with her brand new, very first puzzle that Mamie bought her.
She is very interested in arranging things these days - putting toys into boxes, putting lids on tupperware containers, and stacking blocks. She even gets frustrated that she is not yet able to put the lid on her sippy cup herself. So this puzzle is perfect.
On Thursday, Chantal, Hazel and I walked to a little market down the road from our chalet. At this market we bought cheese and some dried beef to have for appertif.
The walk was lovely, but it was a hot day, so we all needed water when we arrived!

Things what I made on holidays.
We're baaacck!
Lots of photos to edit, but here are a few snaps of the things I had fun making whilst others where looking after the wee Hazel. Photos of the Hazel to follow shortly, promise.
First I made these appliqué dresses and clothes lines for Hazel's hairclips.
And then I did some potato printing on tshirts for Hazel.
It was my first attempt, and some turned out better than others...
I made a bird.
Fishies swimming in the sea.
And strawberries.
