A fabulous afternoon tea for Mia and Hazel's joint first birthdays!

Day One of Party Week Done!

We all had a lovely weekend with friends in Thoiry.

They kindly bought Hazel a cake for her birthday tomorrow.  

Pisatchio and Raspberry, mmmmmm!

 Dad and Melia helped to swallow the cake blow out the candle.

Hazel was none too impressed with the cake.  But the fresh raspberry garnish, mmmmm, they were good!

More cakes to come, so we're sure to find one that pleases her.  And if not, there will always be fruit.

Hazel's feeling fine, but earlier...

Hazel had her first childhood disease last week, Scarlet Fever.  She didn't enjoy it much, but it passed within a few days.  And the medicine is so delicious that she wants it every time she catches sight of the bottle.

She's rash free now, but here was the worst of it.

Reading

Hazel's favourite thing to do at the minute (apart from  moving the furniture around the room) is to read books.

Here she is with her Dad, actually letting him read a bit.  She likes to turn the pages when SHE is ready.
